I can see from other reviews that I am not the exception as regards Malwarebytes. I've written this review because I'm disappointed with the software and cannot understand why NatWest is providing it free to its customers without any kind of risk warning. At the very least Malwarebytes should warn users of the potential consequences of using it. However, before incurring the expense of doing so, and by checking on recently added software, I came to the view that Malwarebytes was the culprit because when I removed it the computer returned to its normal functionality. Unable to explain to myself why a computer that had previously been functioning was now useless, I decided I had to buy a new computer. After a couple of weeks of having the software every search started returning the message 'page unresponsive'. NatWest did not alert me to the fact that Malwarebytes could effectively disable my computer by freezing it, making it almost impossible to load sites or carry out internet searches using Google or any other internet browser.

As explained by NatWest, it seemed a useful piece of software to have, and it was provided free to me as a customer of the bank. I downloaded Malwarebytes Premium with the complements of NatWest.
